Manufacturing for the furniture shown in this project was done at the Rigg factory in Birmingham, UK.
An architecture practice specified Rigg desks as part of their refurbishment plans.
After consultation, linoleum on birch plywood was chosen for the top surface.
The frames were of a modular steel construction and are also available in a range of leg options.
Lino is a tactile material and can be desirable in a design studio environment. Sizes were chosen to allow building plans and drawings to be laid out for review and discussion.
Small meeting and large conference tables were specified to go inside glass partition rooms. Birch plywood and laminate surfaces were chosen, helping create a durable and bright space.
In common with other office desks, cable management cut-outs and accessories were supplied.
A plywood coffee table was included in this furniture package. The Flote model which features a tapered edge detail was felt best suited to this modern architecture studio.
