Rigg furniture was commissioned by Victoria College, Jersey to manufacture a large quantity of dining tables and benches. The outcome is spectacular, resulting in a modern interpretation of the traditional school refectory. A wonderful place to eat, drink and socialise has been created for the pupils.
Synk is a comprehensive range of tables and seating benches, available in numerous sizes and finishes. The substantial framework and legs are made of clear lacquered birch plywood. The construction is modular and strong, being able to withstand the rigours of school life.
This model is characterised by the end-view of the tapered leg profile. The latter having the beautiful detail of unusually thick plywood laminations.
The examples shown here have the top surface of the dining tables finished in easy-clean pale Egger Maize Yellow laminate. The edges are finished in matching ABS which is great for withstanding knocks and bumps of youthful exuberance. The grey tone of the seating benches creates a complementary visual component.
Other types of rectangular tops are also available including those with a birch plywood edge, solid woods and character metal.
Every year Rigg manufactures large quantities of furniture at its Birmingham factory. Each piece is crafted with care and attention to detail. Private companies and many educational establishments such as schools, colleges and universities are catered for.
