Case Studies

The Rigg dining tables with benches featured here are handmade in the UK, combining traditional skills with modern techniques. Our industrial design creates an unusual contemporary style that can attract, brighten and give elegance to any environment, whether at home or in an office.

We use materials of the highest quality. The frames are of strong welded steel that can either be given a protective clear lacquer coating for an industrial aesthetic, or are powder coated to give a durable paint finish in a variety of colours. We offer a wide array of materials for the tops including solid timbers such as oak, high pressure laminates (HPL), birch plywood, zinc, brass, copper or indeed a concrete finish. Sizes range from 1.5m to 2.4m, with a standard height of 75cm and 90cm wide.

Adaptations need to be made if benches are to be manageable. We ensure that the table legs are set far apart in the corners so that people can sit more comfortably and the bench can be stowed away when not in use.

There are some interesting choices to be made. A three -piece set of dining table with two benches gives a streamlined ‘clean’ look - however, our QUAD solid oak table and benches demonstrates how stylish one bench with chairs on the other side can look. Equally we present our sets here with deliberately coordinated pieces but we can easily mix and match tables and benches just as you wish.
